Awesome for the price November 4, 2008 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
I bought this memory card for my Canon SD1100is, it works great and at 8MP can hold about 1,900 pictures. If only I would have waited until they came out with the frustration-free packaging for this! That was by far the most annoying part, trying to get into the thing. Do yourself a favor and buy the one with the new packaging! --> Transcend TS8GSDHC6E 8 GB SDHC Card (SD 2.0 SPD Class 6) [Amazon Frustration-Free Packaging] Oh, I should also add that amazon is the best place to buy any kind of memory card. I've compared prices with stores and they're always about twice as much there as on amazon. The money you can save is worth waiting a day or two to get it.
Extremely fast, and cards work just fine October 24, 2008 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
It seemed like I received the memory cards almost before finishing the order. It was unbelievably fast so I'm very happy with the service and the cards worked just fine although they seemed to get a little stuck the first time I put them into my Canon XSI. Still they've worked great.
A bargain! Fast and good SD Class 6 card December 10, 2008 Roger J. Buffington (Huntington Beach, CA United States) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
All I can say is WOW! We have sure come a long way in a short time. This little 8GB SDHC memory card is all one could ask for in an SDHC card. In my Nikon D80 it lets me take hundreds and hundreds of pictures. Speaking subjectively, the write speed seems to be faster than the camera's buffer, so that the card is not a bottleneck when taking a long series of continuous photos.
I bought one of these cards with the conventional packaging and one through Amazon's "hassle free" packaging. I highly recommend the latter. The conventional packaging does not give you the little plastic CF card holder, plus the bubble wrap is a cast-iron bear to remove. Buy the "hassle free" version, get the little container, and save yourself the hassle.
Two or three of these inexpensive cards, and one would have enough photo capacity for any vacation. I love the digital age!
Works great~! May 8, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I was afraid to get this product because I have never heard of the name brand before but it works great...and it's fast. Unfortunately, if you have an (2 years or older)older computer with a SD card slot, there is a good chance that it wont be able to read from the card. However, all of the newer PC's should have no problem.
I bought it for my Nikon D60 camara and I am very happy with its performance. I recommend it to anyone that needs extra storage.
Great card with tons of space December 6, 2008 L. Rapoport (New Jersey, USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have been shooting with a Nikon D80 digital SLR for the past couple of years using the 1 GB cards. I have at least a dozen or so. Now that I am starting to shoot RAW files, they cobble up these cards memory fast, so I decided to buy the 8 GB cards. Now that the cost is way down on these, I was able to buy two of them for what one 1 GB card cost me a couple of years ago, WOW!
The card is fast, I don't see any difference in the write time of this card to my 1 GB cards and the only problem I had was putting the card into my card reader on my computer. I didn't realize that the HC cards won't work on the old readers. It also wouldn't work on my Epson printer when I tried to insert the card there as well.
It was an easy fix. I simply went to Amazon, purchased a nice little SDHC reader here for around $10 shipping included and just got it today. Put the card into the handy little reader, plugged it into my computer and the world is fine again. Read it very fast, much faster then the 1 GB cards and my old reader and I am now working on my new photos in Photoshop.
Memory has never been this cheap, if you need any memory, now is the time to buy it.Transcend 8 GB SDHC Class 6 Flash Memory Card TS8GSDHC6
